My pup passed away at age 17 y/o, her adult weight was 17 lbs. Age 15 y/o I noticed some slight weight loss, the older they get, the more they sleep, her appetite declined slightly. At age 13 y/o she was still her naughty mischievous little (big) self.
If you have a tiny pup, it wouldn't hurt to check with your vet.
