Grown Weight? We picked up our new puppy Lex on Thursday night. I took him to the vet Yesterday and at four months of age he weighs in at 4 lbs. The breeder said he should be about six or seven and the vet agreed with her. Let's see. Even though he weighs that much he seems smaller. I think you enter into a crap shoot because that one big boy fatty recessive gene can pop up...lol.
I guess that no matter what whether they are fat, skinny or whatever we love them anyhow. The vet did say that they tend to stop growing at a year. Normally at six months or so the weight gains slows down and being at around a year you change the food to an adult food they will get less fat so they should maintain their weight at that point.
