Default Yorkie coat color change

Hi everyone,

I have a wonderful 1 year old yorkie named Jax, he is my first yorkie and I'm loving every second of it! I alway knew getting a yorkie that the coat would change colors but I didn't realize how amazing it is to actually witness the change. When jax was a few weeks old his coat was black with tan points showing inside the ears, above the eyes, on the muzzle, around the legs, feet and toes, and a tiny white mark on his chest. Now he is sliver and light tan, his face is almost fully silver. The grey started breaking through when he was about 6 months old, his father is tan and steel. I know all yorkie are different and you never know what color they would actually be and I know that it can take up to 3 years for them to fully turn. I was hoping someone can give me some feed back or an Idea of what I can expect. I'm just curious will the silver on his face ever turn tan or will it stay silver?

Thanks !
