I'm so sorry I haven't felt like hoisting my old, heavy laptop up and onto the couch arm to type. I do pop on and read some but the actual typing is hard to do. Soon as I get to be out and about, I swear I'm picking up an easier way to get to YT - a tablet or something light that I can hold in my lap!

When I got home from the hospital, that very day I smelled mildew in the house. I'd set the temperature to 78 while I was gone and with little air coming into the house, a leak from where a nail came out, something moved and shingles were separated by the last heavy windstorm we had in June, which allowed a small leak. I saw some tiny spots of black on the master bath ceiling, turned the thermostat down to 68 and sprayed perfume throughout the house to cover the mildew odor and this house smelled SO good for the rest of the day(!) and after. Next day called the ins. co., they got an adjuster out Tuesday and he said they will replace the roof entirely as it's 15 years old and that all that rain we had late spring was too much for it. It's never leaked before now as far as I know but that mildew showed water had gotten into the attic!

I've been lining up roofers and having them come out, give estimates and trying to decide on one. Did some watering in the yard the other night - left me very sore - stretching past the coiled up hose to attach one end of it to the faucet which of course is under a fairly thorny bush! Finally got it screwed on and the hose uncoiled and attached the appliance and set it a couple of places in the front over the next 2 hours. Left me pretty sore but then lots of things do after that day I went to the pharmacy, went to the grocery store and picked up Tibbe. That pretty much left me so sore all I could do was just diddle about doing this and that around the house for a while. Amazing how little the innards like one moving around much after being cut, a section removed and the rest reattached and then anchored to the body without benefit of strong medication as a cover.

The cleaning lady came out Tuesday also, to try to start getting this house back in order again - it's been months and months since I've felt like having her out - and of course I did 3 loads of laundry I've been putting off since I got back from the hospital. Her cleaning left me underwhelmed so she's coming back tomorrow for a bit of a redo and then again in 2 weeks to do give the rest of the house a good, long overdue spring clean.

Tibbe is loving all the people coming and going and they all seem to adore him. One of the two insurance adjusters here Tuesday said he wished he could be taking him home with him when he left - that his wife had been looking for a dog just exactly like that. Tibbe seemed to eat that up, followed the guy around the whole time he was in the back yard or house, whined when he left!

Tibbe got right back to his old lifestyle and habits within a couple of days of coming home and is happy that when he comes in from outside, his bowls are ready for him to get a drink of fresh water in the kitchen and he can come straight to his pillow on the den couch and plop down, where I soon join him. We've spent many a long afternoon here together on the couch since coming home.

It's been a happy homecoming and thanks to all the encouragement and kind words here, so blessed and wonderful again. Can't wait to start posting again on YT now that I seem to have some energy reserves again. Don't know why but I'd been tired, even fatigued, for the last 2 years and just never had ANY energy to spare. This after living a life of nothing but energy and lots of drive - always on the go.

Time for a repeat right mammogram tomorrow so keeping the good thoughts and continued prayers will sure be appreciated. These next two years will be like this - always another test coming up. Ugh is all I can say about testing but, boy, tests can sure save lives! They've made a huge difference in mine!

Ladies and gents, do your BSE's, get your mammograms, PAP smears, colonoscopies, PSA's, HBP, cholesterol, diabetes and glaucoma check-ups and screenings. It's absolutely vital. Tibbe and I love you all and want you to be around for a long, long, long time!
