I know a few YT members give Dogzymes brand probiotics...
I'm a little concerned about the mercury levels in this particular product. If you check the photo of the label, it contains 0.4 ppm Hg (which is the chemical symbol for mercury). The FDA has set a maximum exposure level of 1 ppm Hg for humans in sea food, which most people don't eat every day anyway. That means that this kelp product contains 40% of the maximum concentration of mercury that would be allowed in human food. Since one would be giving this to their dog every day, that could add up to a lot of mercury over time, since it tends to accumulate in the body.

The main reason for feeding a kelp supplement is to compensate for an iodine deficiency. If your dog is getting enough iodine in their diet already, I wouldn't give them a kelp supplement, especially with the way that pollution levels are rising in our oceans each year. If they are not getting enough iodine, I'd ask my vet for the name of an iodine supplement that isn't contaminated with mercury.
