Once neutered, it takes awhile for the testosterone to leave the body. Once it's gone, he will not be producing anymore, so the marking may lessen. But potty training will have to be done like he's a puppy to keep him from marking inside the house. He will always lift his leg but you can train him not to mark inside the house.

If he needs a dental cleaning, it would be best to do it while he's under for neutering. That way, he does not need to go under again.
