Unfortunately, I've given Katie a couple of surface wounds, even though I try to be very careful. I've used Bactroban on her, which is a prescription antibiotic ointment, and my vet said that's fine. Neosporin should also be okay, but I always check with my vet because I worry about Katie licking things. I've also used colloidal silver on her, and it helped a lot with a hot spot that she had by her mouth, most likely from an insect bite. She was also given Clavamox by our vet. He told me that the chelated colloidal silver spray most likely helped to dry the hot spot out. We have been dealing with a paw pad injury for the past couple of months, which my vet said has healed up beautifully. Katie still has a lot of scar tissue from it, and I've struggled to keep her from biting it, so I know what you're going through. They sell vet wrap with something bitter on it, but I haven't had the heart to use it on Katie. I hope your little girl heals quickly.
