Thanks, everybody. I'm at wit's end! Eddie is normally the toy hoarder of the family, so I thought he'd have no problem with motivation. But he just like doesn't sticking his mouth in the water and opening it wide to pick up a ball.
Of the suggestions, I'm thinking the dumbbells might work. Ends sorta look like a ball and the handle is small enough to grab. Only problem is he doesn't particularly like rubber!
Fortunately, Jillie LOVES getting her frisbee! And they only charge me for one dog, I think, because Eddie's not really swimming!
