You need to act WHILE he is in the act of doing the behavior. Have a can filled w/ either nails or pennies and when he growls/bares teeth - shake the can hard to startle him out of his behavior and say a firm "No" at the same time. If that doesn't work, buy a Bark Genie on Amazon and use that in conjunction with "no" when the behavior occurs.

Think I'll try this because I use his crate as a place he goes to in order to be left alone. We're fixing to get a new yorkie and I need him to not behave like this.

The breeder calls her Bella so think I'll keep that name due to she's used to the name.
So I'll have Binxie and Bella . I can't wait.
