Hello and welcome to YorkieTalk. You asked your question on a 6 year old thread that someone else started. It is best to start a new thread when you have a question. As for your question, it is not uncommon for an inexperienced male to be reluctant to breed. Sometimes even experienced males are reluctant to breed with a strange bitch. I am hoping you and the bitch owner have done all the research that is needed before attempting breeding. It is much better if you have a mentor to help that is experienced with breeding. Many people are reluctant to give much advise on breeding over the internet because breeding dogs is not something that should be taken lightly.
Sometimes it requires a lot of time and patience to get two dogs bred. Never leave the two dogs alone unattended.
