I think that you will find that most people just have a preference for a registry and they stand behind it. Breeders do alot of research on what registry they want to finally deal with and they find one that suits them and stick with it. There are also some breeders that like a few different registries. It's up to what they prefer and you as well. I would research all of them out and go from there to search for your puppy. Just remember there are good breeders and bad breeders registering under all registries...whew that was a mouthful lol..good luck..
