 Need Help! Skin Scratching, Bleeding, Hairloss, etc.
Hello All,
I have an almost 10 year old female yorkie who has always had skin issues, but this is the worst I've seen yet. She is full bred but has always been almost all white in color with some silver.
I have taken her to about a half dozen different vets over the years and all have treated her for seborrhea with these various treatments: atopica, steroids, epi-sooth shampoo, resi-cort conditioner, duoxo skin spray, and probably some others I can't recall right now.
Lately she has been so miserable constantly scratching herself bloody and raw, especially under her front legs, face, and back. The texture of her skin has now darkened and become like leather in some areas. She also chews her paws to the point where they are too sensitive to touch and bright red. I have spent so much money on vets and have not seen any decent results. I hate seeing her like this and don't know what else to do. I would be interested in any vet specialist suggestions or treatment suggestions. Thank you in advance for your help! |
