Haven't had such a good weekend(lots of nausea) but wanted to pop on and thank Veronica(Chibiluv) for all the wonderful, unbelievable things she's done for me and for Tibbe. Since he's running out of his special food, he'll be coming home early and I'm not at all feeling ready physically as I'm still so weak-kneed and nauseated but Home Health will be coming by and helping out - have put them off until tomorrow as I've just not felt up to them yet. But I'm so over the moon to see my little boy but scared to have him here, hoping I'm up to him. He's a force unto himself!
But back to Veronica and her willingness to keep him and tend him all this time and caring for his crusty little eyes(which weep and have to be cleaned at least twice a day), to managing his special food and keeping him to getting something that would make him sick with his hair-trigger IBS and keep his MVD at bay. She's managed him so well I couldn't have done any better myself! How do you ever repay someone like that?
I will never ever be able to thank her properly for caring for my little sweetheart all this time. When I was sick during prep, she picked him up and tomorrow will bring him back to the groomer where he's going to get his toenails clipped and a very close trim to help in ease of keeping him clean and any hot spots he might develop during the remaining summer! He'll spend the day at the groomer's - a day I badly need to gain another ounce or two of strength - and then I'll pick him up tomorrow night. And he'll get to come home to his home, his den and his own spot on the couch pillow right beside my head. lol - Veronica said he loves to sleep beside her on the pillow! See what I mean? Who else but another Yorkielover/guardian would allow this? Veronica is one in a million!!!
I didn't know it but she even left me Voice Mail messages of how he was faring on my home phone answering machine and told me little stories of things he did in them. She also sent me PM's I just got Saturday night and read as I laughed and cried like a nut case sitting her on the couch!
His groomer said she will help me load his things into the truck(not looking forward to climbing into that great big vehicle!) and trying to drive it but doc said I can this time and I suspect Tibbe will know we're coming home once we both get in the truck and start it, head toward the road to home. Then into the house and his food and water will be waiting and so will his pillow! I can't wait!!! Thanks to dear, dear Veronica, I've had these days since I got home to just rest and sleep and get better and it's made all the difference. She's truly one of our YT jewels and has fostered other dogs in need in the past and even works with dogs now in her job! It's wonderful to know she was the one caring for him and I never worried a moment about his safely or well being.
Thank you, Veronica, more than I can say. I am so thankful to you for seeing us through this awful time and helping us make it through. Without you, I don't know what I would have done. Here's a big huge virtual (((hug))) and Yorkie kisses xoxoxoxox for all you've done - so far and above what anyone could ask. You are a special lady who deserves all the good things in life for being so kind to someone going through a bad time with few other resources. You were a Godsend and I'll never forget what you did for both of us. I know Tibbe will miss you for weeks after he gets home. Hopefully one day we can have a playdate and all meet up again in better times down the road when I can bring lunch and treats for the babies!!!
