Tell him NO and BAD BOY in a firm, low voice. He will stop. You have to control the behavior and train him just like you do for potty training, barking, furniture access, etc. This is no different and is no reflection on you as the owner or him as the puppy. It's natural and will abate with correction and time. I would say if you are consistent the issue would be resolved in a matter of hours.
