[Sasha L]

Hello everyone.
I am new to this forum and glad for the opportunity to get advice from so many people in one place. You all seem to have such valuable experience. Thank you already and in advance for what I know will come in the future.

My daughter and I have had Sasha now for one month. She is a 4 month old Yorkie. She has been a joy and is on her way to being house broken. There has been the occasional accident. Either we take her out regularly or she will go to the door herself and sit waiting for us to take her out.

The problem is that she will not bark or do anything to let us know she is not at the door wanting to go out. If she has snuck out of our site, she will sit for a minute or two, then give up. Sometimes she won't even go to the door. She will just squat right in front of us. I know she's only 4 months old and we still have to work with her. But, most people have to make their dogs stop barking. How do we get her to bark to let us know she wants to go out?
