We walk daily. Like you, we cannot walk in our neighborhood because of the loose dog situation. We have to drive to another location. My boys love the car ride too, but it is a hassle. They miss having both a daily morning and evening walk.
Now we just do one big outing every evening. Sometimes I am exhausted, but I know they wait all day for it. That motivates me to get out the door. I love days when I can surprise them with an extra trip -- we take them on errands and find places to do shorter walks.
