That is so wonderful! My elderly mother broke her femur and had to have a steel rod and pins put in surgically. She went to a rehab facility after leaving the hospital for a month. The rehab facility let my sister bring her dog to see my mom everyday (and all of the other patients can as well). They said, with no offense to us non-furpeople, pets bring more happiness to folks in the nursing home and rehab than family members do. I thought that was great that they allowed animals inside to visit. Sadly, my mom's dog ran away while she was in the rehab. She was heartbroken. However, my sister found her the most darling rescue dog named Scooter. He is a Yorkie/Wirehaired Terrier mix. He really looks like a Yorkie with wire hair. She is in total love again!
