Default Marking after neuter

Hey guys!

So I had my yorkie potty trained at 5 months. He started marking around 6 months..right when I saw him start, I wanted to have him neutered (I was going to neuter him anyway) but someone convinced me to wait til he was older (something about bone plates closing). I kind of regret that because we had him neutered at 9 months, and he is a SERIOUS marker now.

He's 10 months old now. What do I do? Do I have to act like he's a new puppy again and I'm housetraining him again? Keep him in a crate...reward him to go outside..etc.? I guess I feel frustrated cause I've already done this numerous times for weeks and he didn't catch on. The other times I tried he wasn't neutered yet so maybe that's why...

So if I do it again this time do you think it'll work?

I know it's not his fault. Is there a chance he'll just never get it because I didn't neuter him in time?? Feeling kind of mad at myself. Any tips here would be great.

Thanks everyone.
