My little Luci was 2 1/2 pounds and 4 1/2yrs old when I took her in as a re-home 3 yrs ago, and I had her spayed and all her ugly teeth were removed and she had no problem what so ever. Just make sure you get the blood work before hand.
I was a nervous wreck. My Vet's also let me stay in the office during the surgery and when I knew it all over and she was starting to wake, that is when I left and came back to get her and bring her home.
When I brought her home, she acted as if nothing had happened to her.
