First and foremost I would like to say Welcome! Secondly, what you receive regarding studding your male is determined by you and the bitch's owner. Most owners of the female will pay a stud fee, in my research, to avoid giving pick of litter.

The fee is what you feel your male is worth; some breeders charge as low as $500 up to the purchase price of a puppy which can be $1000(+).

Now that I've answered your question, I'd just like to point out that dogs do not have girlfriends or boyfriends. There is no wooing period that leads to copulation. To be blunt and a bit crass it's a "Wham, bam, thank ya ma'am".

Before you breed you should ask yourself "What characteristics within the standard (if you're breeding by the standard)does my dog have which make it so he should reproduce?"
