After having mostly big dogs (who even as puppies would never be allowed to growl) we had a hard time adjusting to what we call Ziva's " voice". I watched her and littermates interact and it was all quite noisy. My daughter was quite good at being her momma and growling/biting into her neck when she got carried away with herself. I found the Nothing in life is free (NILIF-google it) program mentioned here so helpful. Ziva is 6 and a wonderful vibrant vocal little dog but it took some time to get there!
