As a trainer recently explained to me, if your puppy were with littermates, her momma or even other dogs, she'd be kept in her place & would know her place.

She is quite young & still developing. She's teething. Yet still, she must learn that you're the boss of the house.

My dogs are small in size & they've been spoiled with a lot of carrying around. That's not always the best thing. Allowing a small dog to climb onto your shoulder or to lay across your feet is a sign of dominance.

Even though she's just a baby & has growing "pains", you still must start her training now so that the little baby issues don't become very bad habits later on. Good luck.
