 Dominence problem
I wonder if someone could give me some advice, I have two female yorkies whom my husband and I love equally, they are very much part of our daily lives, sleep in the bed with us, sit on the furniture and are mostly inside dogs!! They are 4 and five years old!! However in the last year they have steadily begun fighting with each other, there seems to be a huge jealousy / pecking order problem. The one won't even allow the other to go onto the bed and the fights are really aggressive and heart breaking, both my husband and I have been bitten trying to separate them!! Apparently when we are not home during the day they dont fight!! Any advice would be appreciated before I contact a behaviour specialist!! My vet says this is uncommon in yorkies and its a dominance problem!! |
