Kristin, I do shave Toto on his undercarriage, and before when he was in full coat I used the metal hair slips that hairdressers use when they cut our hair to hold up the section I didn't want to cut. They hold up a decent amount of hair. When I do his undercarriage he stands for me, and when I get to that flappy chicken skin part near the hips I spread it flat with my hand and shave with the other. Last thing I need to do is nick him, then he will never trust me again with the shavers. |
Right between the legs, ugh! I do manage to catch the boys in belly rub mode on their backs and cut the hair there with scissors. They were getting knots between their back legs, eeek! Not comfortable or good.
How do you trim around the wee wee? M&T's hair is getting quite thick. We always cut for length, but I am afraid to shave around the tiny base. For such big boys, they have surprisingly tiny boy parts.
