I live in between 2 main streets (routes I think is proper term) and it goes through town which a park is located and 3/4 streets are in a neighborhood but as soon as we hit that main one he freaks out! I just let him watch and say good boy and make him sit and have a treat and then pick him up if it's too bad which it usually isn't...good luck!
