No Best Buy and yes that's a good idea, on line is normally cheaper.

I will say though, for that price point, you will still most likely be in the point and shoot category. That was what I had before, a Panasonic Lumix.

But to get something like Mike's, is in the thousands. His is a pro camera. Mine is not a pro level camera at all. It's considered an entry level enthusiast level camera. It was a few years old (but new in box) so I got it for $400, but the new/current model of it is about $800. That is with one lens (called the kit lens).

I went to Best Buy a few weeks ago and I did see a few cameras in the $300 range (some even less) that look like a DSLR but you cannot remove the lens. They do look kinda cheapy though, but I would assume the larger body could house a larger sensor, and you want a larger sensor to perform better in low light. However, I fiddled around with some of these, and you cannot adjust the settings manually. It's basically a point and shoot camera but with a larger body (and possibly larger sensor).
Thanks for the input, I would love to have with the removable zoom lenses or something with similar settings.

What brand, X zoom and pixels would you/anyone suggest ? It doesn't have to have removable lenses just a nice aim and shoot style better that what I already have would be good.
