I don't really see why this was posted as a bad thing. No one is being forced to live there. People who have Catholic/religious values will probably find it peaceful and more comfortable place to live in. Many cities like San Francisco or New york practice quite the opposite, but no one seems to have a problem with that. I just people when the topic of religion comes up people suddenly get defensive or antsy to make a point. Good for him for doing something he wants to do, knowing that there are people without the means to create a place of peace for themselves.
