Default Help with pancreatitis diet and homecooking

Hi all, this is my first time to come on here. I have so many questions. You will probably want to ban me from here. My little Izzy is post pancreatitis. She almost died, but is doing good so far and its been about a year. I tend to freak out everytime she does something different. She loves to tunnel. When I'm sitting on the couch, she wants me to put a blanket over my legs so she can be in a cave. She's been doing this a long time. Two days ago, I noticed she was panting while under there. We live in Louisiana and right now its' staying between 90 to 100 degrees, but I keep it cold in my house. We go out for a walk a couple of times a day, but very briefly. So of course, the panting is scaring me. Has anyone had this happen?

I also do not know the best thing to feed her. I know she should be on low fat because of the pancreatitis, but I'm unsure how to do that. I've been feeding her the low fat dry food from her vet and she likes Ceasars so I give her some of that as well. She's a picky eater, but is still a bit overweight.

I'm thinking I should cook her food myself, but of course, I'm lost on that as well. I apparently have been doing something right because she is a beautiful and happy little girl. She is 4 years old and weights about 6 1/2 pounds. Is there a place online where I can go for guidance about the best way to feed her and prepare her meals? It would be so nice to feed her food that she actually likes that doesn't make her gain more weight.
