I don't think it would hurt to do bile acid testing. It is a relatively inexpensive test...around $80. Sometimes they can have MVD or liver shunts with no other alterations in blood work. It happened to my Teddy Bear. He never had symptoms...he would sometimes vomit but it was never something alarming or consistent. In retrospect I realize it was probably due to the shunt...well I know it was because he no longer gets sick. Here is a link about that experience:
