Luckily, this disease is very easy to treat w/ meds, so that's the upside. Keep in mind that she has been feeling like utter crap/death while she was untreated, so I would not be surprised at all that it will take awhile for her to bounce back. Operating w/ little to almost no steroid hormone in the system is just exhausting...and very sick feeling. Btw, my Wylie has the opposite of this exact disease (too high steroid in the system)...called Cushings Disease.
