We did!! We are adopting Juliette next weekend. This is all new to me so
need some help with adapting her to our schedule and want to get it right from the start. Right now is she housebroken and goes out every 4 hours. The foster
mom recommended that I "crate" her for the first 10 days to get her on my schedule. Here are my questions
1. Is crating her the best way to train her? Even though I'm not crazy about that. She is used to it and the foster mom says she loves her "crate. It's home and comfort for her.
2. I have a summer schedule(not working) and Sept-June schedule. They are
different. Should I get her my summer schedule now and adapt in Sept?
Summer Schedule:
AM walk: 5:45AM ,eat/7:00AM, 12:00pm, 4:30 Eat/walk, 7:00PM
Sept-AM walk:
AM 5:45AM ,eat/7:00AM, 2:30pm, 4:30 Eat/walk, 7:00PM
(Is this even an ideal schedule)
During the year I work two days a week and can't really let her out until 2:30
Can she hold out until then? I think at times I could come home to let her out but would be really tricky. Which schedule should I get her on? Can I just switch in Sept or should I get her on one schedule.
Thanks in advance for your suggestions
Danielle
