It's a myth that hard food benefits the teeth in any way...think of it this way, does hard food benefit/clean your/our teeth? Nope. Food breaks down and gets into the teeth crevices whether it's soft or hard.
So, soft food is no worse for the teeth, you'll be fine as far as that.
For teeth in general though, why not add Healthy Mouth to the regimen, it will help. It's one of the few things that is VOHC approved, btw.
I would get a full blood panel on this kiddo bc something is wrong here for his appetite to be this off. It's also *very* odd to faint after just a vomit episode.
Just in case, look up Addison's Disease.
Also, I'd be asking the vet if you should try Pepcid every day to ease stomach issues.
Does his tummy ever make gurgling noises? How is the poo?
