Oh my goodness - such a sad post....

When we had a litter of kittens (many years ago), one was still-born - and we buried her under the tree at the end of our garden - I still can't stand the thought of moving house and 'leaving her there', alone

When Rosie our Labrador died (at home) - we took her to the pet cemetery and had her cremated. I wanted to keep her ashes in the corner of our bedroom that she used to sleep....but, after a few weeks, I realised that I couldn't take my eyes off 'that box'...

So we took her ashes to one of our beautiful parks that she loved to run in - and scattered her ashes underneath the weeping willow tree, next to 'her' lake - her most favourite spot in the world.
