I don't know how you can say that they won't get sick from eating sausage, pizza, Italian sandwiches and bakery goods even in small amounts. Your pup probably has a good digestive system but many of our pups are not so lucky. My Zoey was on RX Gastro food for pancreatatis and I gave her doggie treats with the fat content higher than 10% and voila, pancreatitis returned. Don't mislead other with encouraging bad feeding habits.
