Excellent suggestions. Also, if Zeus is accustomed to TV or radio playing, try leaving one of those on to keep his environment somewhat the same.
If you have a video camera, try videotaping Zeus to see what he does. A lot of dogs sleep most of the time that they are alone. When I had to leave my boys for the first time, a friend showed me how to use my Macbook camera to videotape. It was reassuring to see the dogs just relaxing.
