I can see what you mean...it does look a touch purplish/blue rather than pure fleshy pink. When it happens, I'd check his gums to see if they are nice and pink and then when you press on them...do they turn white, but then turn back to pink nice and fast. I would try capturing a few different pics of it when the color is funny so that you can show the vet what you're seeing here.
I gotta say, he is just a BEAR CUB cutie, my gosh! So flippin cute. His fur texture looks just awesome too.
