I have used Advantage for years on my yorkies and I have never had a problem. I now use the Advantage II. It is suppose to not wash off as easily as the regular Advantage. If you have a lot of fleas then you might have to apply it every three weeks until you get the fleas under control.
My daughter used Advantix on her little yorkie and she had a reaction to that one.
