Awareness is part of the reason I started these threads, I might make another one for all other states because I see them come up in shelters everywhere. I hope people look at it too. It's heartbreaking. If I would have known how many yorkie said were in shelters in CA I would have for sure adopted on from there, of course at the time I wanted a puppy. I get it, puppies are cute but honestly older dogs are so much better. They have often already lived in homes and know basic commands. I would urge anyone looking for a yorkie to at least look at the rescues- you never know what might steal your heart!
