I hope people read this thread, so many people think there aren't any Yorkies at kill shelters. We still have a lot of kill shelters in this country and it makes me sick that people are buying from backyard breeders instead of saving one of these dogs. The only reason to buy a Yorkie from a breeder is because you want to support a quality breeder and you believe in his or her breeding program and what he or she is trying to accomplish. We have to support quality breeders or they will stop breeding. Otherwise, please look into rescue, so many really wonderful animals out there are being sentenced to death for no fault of their own. |
