I throw no food items in kitchen just for this reason. None of my dogs have ever gone after the trash but ya just never know. Food items I take straight to the outside trash pails, if this cannot be done keep food trash items in a plastic bag on top of a counter where your pup cannot get at it. Hope your baby is ok, please keep us posted.
