A report about daily teeth brushing:
I've been brushing Dolly's teeth daily for 11 years & she fights me every time like she thinks she'll get away from me (she never has). She's really tiny & I can't imagine having an average sized Yorkie act like this! Dolly's only a bit over 3 lbs. & has a very tiny mouth & teeth. She's only had one cleaning, which has been OK with all her vets. More than half of her teeth have fallen out naturally. Our new vet was amazed at how clean & odor free her mouth is, even though she has a couple loose teeth.
Teena was 2 when I got her, she's 7 now, & I've brushed her teeth every day since I've gotten her. She's an angel! It's been 3 years since her last cleaning & her teeth have stayed clean. She's the same size as Dolly but her jaw & teeth are bigger so I have hopes she retains her teeth a longer than Dolly. |
