You are my daughter's age. One of the puppies was her 17th birthday present, so she has to follow my rules with the puppy, but mostly I am pretty laid back as I have a dog that sleeps with me already, so her puppy sleeping with her was not a problem. Are you out of high school? Or one more year to go like my daughter? The girl puppy we got is hers so she will be taking her with her when she moves out of the house, but it will be several years as she has a year of high school and then wants to go to community college for 2 years, so she will still be here a while. My puppy will stay with me.
