Maybe you encountered these people at a bad time. I've encountered other Yorkie people at inopportune times and I'm afraid that I came across as abrupt. Normally I love talking dogs and meeting other Yorkies, but sometimes I'm in a hurry (running errands) or my dogs are a little worked up after waiting all day for their outing.
The man who knocked on my car window at the grocery store scared me and it took a minute for me to realize that he was trying to show me his Yorkie.
Meanwhile, my Yorkies were barking their heads off in the back seat.
