I have had 5 yorkies, all were different one was like a stuffed animal that ate and pooped and just wanted to be petted, but she would try to bite my male if he ran by her to fetch a toy, but LOL since she was to lazy to move she always missed. Two others were maniacs around other dogs, they wanted to kill anything on four feet. I go to a lot of pet events and yorkie meetups and each dog is different, some only want to sit on their owners lap, others like my Lola just want down to mingle and play with the other dogs, some of my friends dogs love soft stuffed toys, Lola will only play with a rubber type toy with a loud squeak. So to answer your question all yorkies are different but I do know that many rescue dogs or dog given away later in life are hard to figure out, so I think patience is all that is in order now and it seems like you have that covered, so good luck to you. |
