I'm not an expert, but I thought from previous discussions in this forum that red-legged Yorkies have very short hair on their legs, more like regular dog fur. The hair is rusty color. Wish I could find some of the photos that have been shared here before.
I do not think Maggie looks like a red-legged at all.
There are many Yorkies who stay dark until really old age. As I wrote above, my Max has a very dark back. He has a silky coat that grows floor length. Show Yorkies have dark backs, steely blue that some mistake as black. I don't know how long they stay dark because most have their coats cut by a certain age. The only older champions who have kept their coats I have known turned dark silver.
