Sclerosis of the eye doesn't affect vision in most older dogs until they are really old like 18. I've had two ophthalmologists tell me this. Usually dementia makes them less aggressive not more aggressive. I wonder if something else is bothering her. Have you considered trying adequan shots for the joints? I've done a month of twice weekly adequan shots on two of my 15 year olds with amazing results. Best wishes.
