It really depends on when I start seeing fleas again. The instructions say not more often that once every 7 days but I have never done it that often. Sometimes I have to apply it every 3 weeks during the summer months.
I use the Advantage II. I buy the size for extra large dogs so I can treat about 7 yorkies with one tube. A vet had told me to use about 1 drop per pound of the dogs weight.
My daughter had used Advantix on her little 4 lb yorkie and she had a reaction so I don't know if I would recommend that. We don't have a problem with ticks so mine really don't need that.
I really hate using anything with chemicals but I have not found anything natural that works that good.
