1/4 of a table for about a 6 lb dog should be good. I would cut a tablet into quarters and put a piece of it in cheese or other food. I find it you part of a cheese slice and you mold the cheese around it, they have a harder time getting it out. Benadryl can be bitter so you really want to make sure they can't get to the pill once it is cut.
