You need to have a breed quality male, pedigree, health tests, brucellois test AKC DNA on record, stud contract. You should only offer the proven male but many will chance and unproven one. Female should come to your home she should be bred at least twice perhaps three times. Make sure the female has been health checked, brucellois test and pedigree. SOme times people would come to me for stud service and not have a clue about the pedigree. I would look at the AKC registration and know the female was from a friend who had used my male for stud..or perhaps bought a puppy from my breeding from a friend..the dog may have changed hands..but what I am saying is, without a pedigree I would have bred borther and sister a few times not knowing.
