I have never actually seen one in person so am unsure how they work. Also, do they make a console one for 2 dogs, or at least that holds up to 12 lbs. Courtney, search this thread "Tiger shows off his new console Lookout Carseat" as I have 4 photos of Tiger in it. It actually sits on the console, in between the seats. We got it with no directions but my hubby decided to secure it to the console itself and it does feel very stable.

I like it because Tiger's face is leveled with mine so I can easily smother him with hugs and kisses when I am at a stoplight .
